      昔日笑醉流霞，
      曾經雪月風花；
      如今揮劍弄棒，
      從頭衛國保家。** 

      ** 2014.07.07 : 乃 八年抗日戰爭
           (1937.07.07 - 1945.09.09) 77 周年紀念。
           但是時至今日，日本仍然竊據 釣魚島！

In laughter I used to be
Drunk with Ambrosia wine,
With old friends leisurely dine
And recite fine poetry.

Now I pick up my Sword again,
Dancing with it in rusted fist,
M'sweet Home and Country to defend fierce --
Against the Thunder, Lightning and Rain!


** 2014.07.07 is the 77th anniversary of the 
     Second Sino-Japanese War (1937.07.07 - 1945.09.09),
     but today Japan is still in control of and claims sovereignty
     over the Diaoyutai (Senkaku) Islands.

O, Left behind right here am I!

Some of my old Comrades are gone,

To the next Bright Realm they had passed on;

Whilst in deep thoughts of past events

In the Sun sinking I’m singing m’song!

Now that we’re still able and mellow,

Stock up all the supplies and barrows;

Ne’er too late to seek a newer world, m’friends –

We shall sail through the sounding furrows!
