Leisurely I watch the full Moon

-- by 夜月星河 'Night Moon Starry River'

-- Translated by Frank C Yue

Leisurely I watch the full Moon in Autumn

evenings,

And I angle the cold river in Winter

mornings.

Fog and waves: Water e’erywhere far as

the eye can see;

With abandonment, I let the tiny boat drift

free.

All the clouds, and mists, and distant

mountains are speechless,

While the skies’ verge and seas’ corner so

vast and boundless.

Waking from a meal-time dream in a lonely

sail boat,

I chase the waves and along with care-free

sand gulls float.
