柳腰斜舞，杏靨含嬌，明媚春光好。
綠窗清悄，香徑軟、百卉迎花如笑。
叢蘭獨巧，忽並蒂、四花連繞。
想從來、一本根苗，兩樣繁美少。


陋室儼如蓬島，似仙娥群聚，弄晴春曉。
花容窈窕，湘簾下、素影參差回抱。
香魂縹緲。又渾似、一群嬌鳥，趁東風，
齊上瓊枝。帶綠煙輕裊。


清代才女 堵霞 有一首 解语花 《草兰》：


柳腰斜舞，杏靥含娇，明媚春光好。
绿窗清悄，香径软、百卉迎花如笑。
丛兰独巧，忽并蒂、四花连绕。
想从来、一本根苗，两样繁美少。

陋室俨如蓬岛，似仙娥群聚，弄晴春晓。
花容窈窕，湘帘下、素影参差回抱。
香魂缥缈。又浑似、一群娇鸟， 趁东风，
齐上琼枝。
带绿烟轻袅。

Willow-waist dancing slantingly,
Heart-shaped face shy and tenderly,
Worthy of Spring spark'ing radiantly.
Green windows simple and pretty;
Fragrant path, underfoot it's patty.
Always so welcoming,
A hundred blossoms smiling!

The petite patch of orchid flow'rs
Stands head-and-shoulders above the others.
All of a sudden, double buds --
Since immemorial time,
Just one tuberous root, one shoot fine,
Devoid of glamorous dye!

The simple room unassuming
Is like the Magic Isle in a far-off place,
Where the pretty Fairy Maidens congregate,
Dancing in the Sun as Spring's a-blooming.
Slim and adorable the orchids --
Beneath the Hunan curtain linen,
Clear asymmetrical shadows entwinin'.

Fragrant aroma faintly drifting,
Just like a flock of graceful cranes alighting.
Riding the east wind, going higher and higher,
Together the floral birds all soar
Toward the cinnamon branches on 
                                                   the Moon bright,

Carrying unworldly-scented green smoke light!
