王安石 山花落盡山長在, 山水空流山自閒。 After the hill flowers have fallen, there the hills remain; The hills e'er so leisurely, whilst the streams flow in vain.

遊鍾山】  北宋 王安石

終日看山山不厭,
買山終待老山間。
山花落盡山長在,
山水空流山自閒。

YOU ZHONG SHAN: "Touring Zhong Mountain"
-- by Wang Anshi (1021 - 1086)
-- Translated by Frank C Yue

All day, I watch the hills and I don't dislike the hill;
I bought a hill and I'll grow old among the hills still.
After the hill flowers have fallen, there the hills remain;
The hills e'er so leisurely, whilst the streams flow in vain.
