But they won't cross the border out of fright. 




Translator's Note:
The Dipper here of course refers to The Big/Little Dipper, names of two constellations in the northern hemisphere, otherwise known as The Great/Little Bear, or The Plough,  or Charles' Wain.

哥舒翰（？－757年），唐朝名将，突骑施（西突厥别部）首领哥舒部落人。安史之乱时被安祿山俘虜，後安慶緒殺安祿山，登基為帝，不久，敗於唐軍而逃，將哥舒翰殺害。唐代宗赠太尉，谥曰武愍。
