Scattering pearls on fragrant bushes all.
In the courtyard, blows the crisp chilly wind,
Playing with fallen leaves far as eyes can see --
For ten thousand miles, it's an Autumn scene.

Beneath a misty Moon, the road winds out of a dream,
It seems, and everything is in a cloudy cream.
Too soon, comes Autumn and Summer's gone!
Even drunk at the eastern fence, I keep drinking on --
My love for you, m'Dear, still seems strong.
